UK Bed Sizes- Stone Dam Furniture Halifax
Over the years a number of standard bed sizes have been developed. However, it’s worth noting that these are just commonly used descriptive terms and there are actually no uniform or universal standards of sizes or names of bed sizes that must be used by law.
Metric sizes are not exactly the same as imperial sizes, either. The following are the most common sizes available:
- Single: 3ft x 6ft 3in / 90cm x 190cm
- Double: 4ft 6in x 6ft 3in / 135cm x 190cm
- King: 5ft x 6ft 6in / 150cm x 200cm
- Super King: 6ft x 6ft 6in / 180cm x 200cm
